Accessibility in Action: Creating Accessible Content in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Thursday, November 5, 2026 :: 11:00-12:00 PM
Hybrid | Hyflex
Intended audience: CMU Faculty
Facilitated by: John Kassuba
In partnership with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), we are offering a dedicated session focused on the accessibility tools available in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Participants will learn how to use Microsoft’s built-in Accessibility Checker to identify and address common accessibility issues in documents and presentations. The first half of the session will focus on demonstrating the Accessibility Checker in both Word and PowerPoint, while the second half will provide a “stay and play” opportunity for participants to work through their own documents and presentations with guidance and support.
This session will be offered in a HyFlex format, allowing registrants to attend either in person in Park 413D or online via Microsoft Teams using the link below.
