Creating learning environments where students feel heard, valued, and empowered can strengthen engagement, motivation, and learning. Understanding student experiences—and intentionally creating opportunities for students to share their perspectives—helps faculty build more responsive and inclusive courses.
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore strategies for gathering and responding to student feedback, fostering meaningful dialogue, and incorporating student perspectives into teaching and learning. Through guided activities and reflection, faculty will consider ways to understand the student experience better and identify opportunities to increase student agency within their courses.
Participants will leave with practical techniques for soliciting student input, building stronger connections with learners, and creating classroom environments that support belonging and engagement.
