Tuesday, October 20, 2026 :: 2:00-3:00 PM
Virtual | WebEx
Intended Audience: CMU Faculty
Facilitated by: Phil Coffman
Recorded video can do more than deliver course content—it can help faculty create instructor presence, guide student thinking, and support regular and substantive interaction in online courses. This session will explore practical ways to design asynchronous video with purpose, including short instructional segments, weekly instructor “wrapper” videos, guided viewing prompts, applied follow-up tasks, video feedback, and analytics-informed outreach.
Participants will leave with a simple framework for planning videos that are reusable, engaging, accessible, and meaningfully connected to student learning.
