Incorporating AI into Assignments

Generative AI is increasingly becoming part of students' learning environments. Rather than avoiding these tools, faculty can design assignments that intentionally incorporate AI in ways that support learning, critical thinking, and disciplinary skill development.

In this interactive workshop, participants will examine existing assignments and explore strategies for integrating AI tools in purposeful and pedagogically sound ways. Through discussion, examples, and guided revision time, faculty will consider how AI can be used to enhance inquiry, feedback, creativity, and problem-solving while maintaining meaningful learning outcomes.

Faculty are encouraged to bring an assignment from one of their courses to revise during the session. Participants will leave with practical ideas and a revised assignment ready for implementation.
