Audience: Department Chairs

Burnout is a workplace problem that impacts many of us in higher education. But what exactly is burnout, and what causes it? What can leaders do to understand it and support faculty and staff experiencing it? In this 90-minute workshop we'll explore the answers to these questions and develop strategies for addressing this workplace culture issue.

Led by Dr. Rebecca Pope-Ruark, Director of the Office of Faculty Professional Development at Georgia Institute of Technology and author of Unraveling Faculty Burnout: Pathways to Reckoning and Renewal, this session offers actionable insights to help create a more supportive and resilient academic environment.

This workshop is sponsored by CMU’s NSF ADVANCE project. For more information, please contact Zachary Evans at evans1zr@cmich.edu.

Registration closes on 10/17/24 @ 3 p.m.
