Revisiting the AI Journey: Adapting Assignments in the Age of AI
Thursday, February 1, 2024 :: 12:30-1:30 PM
Park Library | 413
Intended Audience: CMU Faculty
Facilitated by: Gabi Likavec
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies continue to advance, traditional methods of evaluating student learning must evolve to accommodate the benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations associated with emerging generative AI. Through practical exercises and collaborative discussions, participants will gain insights into how they can develop dynamic, engaging assignments that discourage students' misuse of generative AI, capture a student's true abilities, and foster deep learning in the age of AI.
Delve into generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its implications for higher education through our tailored workshop series facilitated by Teaching and Learning Consultant, Gabrielle Likavec. This Hyflex series revisits topics covered last semester in the Navigating the AI Frontier workshops and takes a deeper dive into topics of interest expressed by our participants. Sessions will provide practical insights and strategies to understand and effectively implement AI in the higher education classroom.
