What comes to mind when you hear the phrase, “assessing student learning?” With careful consideration of our individual goals for, approach to, and experiences with the learning assessment process, we will de- and re-construct our understanding of assessments and the role that they play for all our students. With particular emphasis on getting the most out of your assessments (including how to tell if your students are really learning your content), we will discuss what this looks like for students in HyFlex, remote, and face to face learning environments, while also conserving the value and integrity of the assessment. This session will provide participants with straightforward, evidence-supported, modification and implementation criteria that can help you replace those assessment- associated headaches with confidence and satisfaction.
