In this session, we will explore strategies to make the most of your very first class meetings to create a comfortable, welcoming learning environment, build rapport with your students, set clear expectations, for your students and yourself, and establish appropriate boundaries. Discover ideas for building rapport in the early weeks of the semester. Discuss the importance and value of creating a safe learning environment. Explore ways to be both clear and assertive when establishing boundaries and setting expectations.
