Online learning has begun to replace face-to-face interactions, which can unintentionally spark misunderstandings and confusion. Thankfully, synchronous sessions allow the opportunity to foster meaningful learning while building deeper connections with our students. Using synchronous tools, like WebEx, provides a platform to create an interactive lecture with various engagement strategies (e.g. pause procedure) to increase participation and accountability. In this session, we will explore how to implement an interactive lecture approach during a synchronous session; explore WebEx’s various features (e.g., Training Room, Meeting Room, polling, raise hand, break out rooms) to engage more meaningfully.
