Academic integrity is an issue that educators must face in the modern class. Our response to violations of academic integrity can have a healthy or harmful impact on our students. In this session, we will examine student perceptions of cheating versus faculty perceptions. Additionally, we will explore common cheating websites, analyze intentional versus unintentional plagiarism, and establish proactive measures to address academic dishonesty before it occurs. Further, we’ll discuss a thoughtful approach to addressing academic integrity with our students to ensure a learning opportunity for growth.
